I have been alive for three decades. wow. it doesn't feel like it...sometimes.
Our picture is showing on MLS now. 2 days after we accepted an offer. they have a week to clear their conditions...it seems like forever already...not 3-decades-forever, but forever nonetheless. i have to take the inspection report for our next house to the insurer tomorrow morning...it's old, so they want to know more...bloody paperwork. it's starting to feel a little more real - the fact that we're actually moving in two months - again. this will be our 4th residence in the 6 years that we've been married, all within a 20 block radius...funny eh? we must like this part of town. the nice part is, this will be our first place that's not on a bus route, I'm looking forward to that... oh well, g'night!

my ebay 'ship to' locations expanded...again
Tuesday, March 29, 2005
well, we're finally appearing on mls.ca this morning...but it says we have a fireplace - which we don't... and there's still no picture. On a brighter note, we got an offer last night, from only one showing (to a realtor), and we're waiting on the response to our counter-offer...

Well, we're still not showing up on MLS, but our listing does appear on the Realty Executives site (without a picture...).

I'm feeling a little pissed off right now. We signed the papers with our realtor on Sunday afternoon. It's now Thursday night, and our house STILL isn't listed on the MLS site! We're going into a 3 day weekend, and no one surfing the real estate site will know that our house is for sale! I guess I expected a little more from our realtor. We've been ready to show our house for 4 days now, and it's not even listed anywhere! Aaaaarrrrrgh. I've been patient and friendly to dumbasses all week at work (for any students reading this, no, you're not the dumbass I'm talking about, it was the dumbass beside you), and I'm in no mood to screw around with a realtor that can't get the job done. I certainly hope that this is not a sign of things to come...we're stuck with this realtor for 90 days... Oh well, I'm going to go check on my ebay stuff, a few items are ending tonight.

...this is the page that our house should be listed on. Nothing yet. It must be real busy in the office where they prepare these listings...it seems like it's taking forever.
The 'House For Sale' sign went up in our yard this morning. It makes mention of our 'Basement Suite'.We're SO ready to show our house now, everything is clean and organized. The clutter has been uncluttered, now we just need someone to make an appointment to see it. I just want someone to come look at it while it looks this presentable, 'cause it feels like we won't be able to keep it this way for long...

HOUSE FOR SALE
Well, we listed our house for sale today. It should be on the MLS listing by tomorrow afternoon sometime. I hope it sells quickly, I imagine it could get fairly stressful if it sits on the market too long. I'll post a link once it's up...

where have I been?
well, I've been here for one...
We made an offer on a house this week. That sounds simple, but it sure causes a lot of stress. Lots of it is good stress, I guess. Our offer was accepted verbally last night, so we just need to formalize it today. I'll try to keep you all updated...

speaking of free stuff...
I sent away for some free kids books a few weeks ago. They came with a free clock. They also came with 2 other books that I could keep and pay for, or request a return mailing label and send them back at no charge. Here's the email correspondence that followed...
